Rename VMDK files using the VMware CLI

VMware CLI command to rename VMDK files:

perl vmkfstools --server -E /vmfs/volumes/Test/rh6.2.vmdk  /vmfs/volumes/Test/testing2.vmdk

 

Upgrade Cisco 2960G Switch from IOS CLI

  1. Enter the Cisco Catalyst 2960G via Telnet or Serial Console
  2. Enter the “enable” command at the command prompt, and tap the “Enter” key. Enter the Privileged Exec password when requested, and then tap the “Enter” key.

List path and names of .registered VM vmx files on the present host
Very important!
Use the path with the UUID (vmfslabel) where requested in vmware-cmd
