Fix PDF Preview in 64-bit Windows

Make a manual fix by opening up regedit.exe and browsing down to the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Classes\CLSID\{DC6EFB56-9CFA-464D-8880-44885D7DC193}

Then change the AppID to the following :{534A1E02-D58F-44f0-B58B-36CBED287C7C}

Make a manual fix to the following key also:

 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Classes\CLSID\{DC6EFB56-9CFA-464D-8880-44885D7DC193}\InprocServer32\(Default)

Enabling NTLM Authentication Single Sign-On (SSO) in Firefox

How many of you have noticed that when you are using Internet Explorer and you browse to your companies intranet page that it will automatically authenticate you but when you use Firefox you will be prompted with a login box?

I recently, in searching for solutions to allow NTLM authentication with Apache, stumbled across how to set a preference in Firefox that will pass the NTLM authentication information to a web server. The preference is network.automatic-ntlm-auth.trusted-uris.

So how do you do it?

Windows 7 HotSpot

Sharing your Windows internet connection via software has traditionally been a tricky business.

There are programs that can help you do it, but they're often awkward to set up, and prone to complicated security and reliability issues, so most people don't even try.

But that could all be about to change, thanks to a new Windows 7 feature called Virtual Wi-Fi.

The idea is a simple one: the operating system can virtualise any compatible wireless adapter, to make it appear as though you've as many additional adapters as you need.

Windows 2008 802.11x Wireless Setup/Configuration

I've recently migrated my wireless network from RADIUS/IAS on Windows 2003 with PKI to Windows 2008 R2. It took me a while to get to the bottom of it so I thought I'd write a How-To to help others out.

Requirements:

# One or more 802.1X-capable 802.11 wireless access points (APs).

# Active Directory with group policy

# One or more Network Policy Server (NPS) servers.

# Active Directory Certificate Services based PKI for Server certificates for NPS computer/s and your wireless PC's
